Ashley (pictured right) is an intelligent, energetic, happy six year old who was diagnosed, in 2003, with Type 1 diabetes at the age of three years old. She began using an insulin pump by the age of four. One of our biggest concerns about Ashley becoming a pump user was how to keep her comfortably connected to an insulin pump 24/7. We investigated all available options and after trying many prototypes of our own, we came up with our version of comfortable fabric pump cases.
Whether you call a pump holder a pouch, case, clip, pack, pak or purse, our comfortable fabric cases are designed to keep the insulin pump within easy reach while protecting the pump from being dropped. Our fabric case can be worn inside or outside clothing and is so comfortable it can be worn 24 hours a day, even while sleeping.
We have many options you can choose from. You can choose a pump case as shown on our pump case page and we will make one specifically to fit your waist size and your brand of pump, or you can design your own case, by choosing your fabric, case style and belt type on our design your own page. We have two case styles; vertical or horizontal and two closure types; zipper or velcro. We offer four different belt types and three alternative ways, other than our belts, to wear the pump case. We have many fabrics and will always be adding new ones.
All of our cases are made with double fabric, and sewn with a reinforced straight stitch for maximum strength without sacrificing comfort. There are no raw seams inside so there is no fraying and no loose threads to catch on pump parts. Sewn inside each case is a label identifying the contents as a Diabetes Insulin Pump for emergency personnel.
New Stuff
Try our new Side-by-Side case. The zipper case holds a small meter, poker, test strips and glucose tabs and the clear vinyl face case holds the pump. With the clear vinyl face case, you can push the buttons on the pump without taking it out of the case. Both cases are side by side on one Velstretch belt that is slightly stretchy and very comfortable to wear. The Side-by-Side case is a great way to keep everything your child needs with him/her at all times without the bulk of two cases stitched together. Great for school, field trips and vacations. The Side-by-Side case can also be used when the pumper is wearing a pump and a Continuous Glucose Monitoring System.
We have designed a brand new fabric
insulin pump case with a clear
vinyl face for
fast easy insulin delivery. You can
push the buttons, deliver insulin and
read warnings without ever having to
take the pump out of the case! This
is great for whenever pump use is difficult
or inconvenient like the middle of
the night or while in public places.
The clear vinyl front also makes the
pump case front moisture resistant
in case of splashes or spills.
Our new hook case with the snap closure is a snug fitting case that hooks onto a belt loop, button hole or anywhere on clothing suitable for the hook to attach to. This case allows for easy, quiet pump removal and is great for anyone who doesn't want to wear a belt around their waist. Great for cell phones too!
Do you have a special fabric you like or an outfit you need to match? You can send us your fabric and we will make a case for you. Go to the design
your own page, pick your style and belt type, then choose "send us your fabric" at the end of the page. We will make the case to your specifications.
The Toddler Harness is perfect for keeping the insulin pump out of reach of tiny hands.
The Toddler Pump Harness can be worn under or over clothing or in front or back. This adjustable harness comes in one piece with the two shoulder straps velcroed to the waist and the waist velcroed closed. It is machine washable and dryable (attach the velcro to avoid snagging on other clothing).
In addition to our pump cases,
we offer t-shirts for boys and girls, with pockets
to hold the pump. The pocket can be made of a patterned
material and worn as a decorative shirt or the pocket can be made
of a solid color or white so the shirt can be worn as an undershirt.
You can choose what color shirt and what pattern fabric.
You can also choose where you would like the pocket placed; front
or back, top or bottom, side or middle. There is a reinforced hole
sewn in the shirt for the tubing to reach the infusion site.
Our long term goal is to grow this
website to include a community aspect that will allow the parents
of diabetic children to come together to tell their stories and
to know that they are not alone. We are all struggling and learning
how to best care for our diabetic children and to deal with the
challenges it brings. This website will be just one more tool to
help us.
